We’re hiring an Mechanical Assembler for our North Houston, Texas client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, and safety-focused candidates who are available to interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: North Houston, Texas
Pay: $18.00–$18.50/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM; 8 hours on Saturdays as work demands
Duration: Contract - 40 hr./week
Description of Duties:
Assemble and test machinery, including conveyors and rotating assemblies, according to specifications, shop orders, and work instructions. Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and correct quantities using measuring tools, and report discrepancies to the supervisor. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed. Cross-train in other production areas, assist with training new employees, and support plant housekeeping. Work closely with manufacturing personnel while following all safety and environmental policies and using required personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous assembly experience required and must be shown on resume
- Previous equipment testing experience required and must be shown on resume
- Must provide own hand tools and be able to use required measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to listen and follow instructions
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent attendance
- Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and around chemicals used in the department
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Willingness to cross-train and complete on-the-job training during the first few weeks
- Immediate availability for an in-person interview and to start once required compliance is cleared
