The Role
- Lead daily hospital operations and foster a culture of trust, teamwork, accountability, and high-quality client service.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop administrative and technical support teams; conduct performance reviews and address employee relations.
- Oversee staffing plans, schedules, labor management, and timekeeping accuracy.
- Partner with the lead veterinarian and leadership team on operational goals, client experience, and quality standards.
- Manage budgets, accounts payable/receivable, vendor relationships, inventory, and purchasing.
- Ensure accurate billing practices, revenue capture, and local accounting compliance.
- Maintain facility standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Support client communication and service recovery when needed.
- Contribute to strategic planning, process improvement, marketing initiatives, and growth projects.

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, or related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
- At least five years of office management experience, including two or more years of supervisory responsibility
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice-management or scheduling systems
- Excellent organization, planning, and time-management abilities
- Ability to work with or around animals and standard veterinary-hospital materials; capable of occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Appropriate California license to practice, as applicable to hospital management responsibilities
- Preferred: CVPM or MHA; experience with budgeting, analytics, compliance, and strategic planning
