Sr. Tactical Systems Integration Project Leader

The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center that provides technical expertise to support national security space missions. The Defense Systems Group (DSG) delivers analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy, and strategy. The C2 Operational Systems team is seeking a Sr. Tactical Systems Integration Project Leader to lead the integration of tactical systems with battle management systems. Responsibilities Lead a team of network, software, and data experts evaluating potential integration points of existing tactical systems with battle management systems. Collaborate with outside organizations to develop feasible solutions enabling enterprise integration. Perform hands‑on technical integration work in the fields of USSF C2. Influence key government and contractor stakeholders to move forward with proposed integrations. Work with other Aerospace, government, and contractor engineering teams located in Colorado Springs, CO, and El Segundo, CA. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent technical area of study. 12+ years of experience in a relevant technical field with some experience related to C2 systems, cloud, and cyber security. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Working understanding of the USSF C2 architecture and key requirements. Experience dealing with organizational ambiguity. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Experience working through complex engineering challenges with technical and political contributions. Substantive experience with the DoD acquisition lifecycle. Willingness to travel occasionally (≈10–20%). Current and active TS/SCI government clearance (issued by the U.S. government). U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Hands‑on development experience. Experience operating effectively in complex working environments. Experience working directly with contractors to implement and test complex designs. Experience with agile development programs and test strategies. Familiarity with military space systems and operational concepts. Experience defining and implementing a strategic technical vision. Hands‑on experience with space‑based tactical systems. Hands‑on experience with cloud software deployments. Ability to obtain necessary SAP‑level clearances. Compensation Competitive compensation with performance-based rewards. The grade‑based pay range for this position is $171,400.00–$257,100.00 annually.
