Sign On Bonus $20,000 Sign On Bonus for Eligible External Hires Job Summary As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide patient-centered care and collaborate with the medical team to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying changes and reporting to the care team. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions ordered by the provider, ensuring thorough and timely documentation in the medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex terminology into understandable language. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license (Associate Degree, Bachelor's, or RN Diploma). Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
