Patient Support Specialist

IWS Family Health, a community health center providing preventive health care services to children and families, is looking for a bilingual Patient Support Specialist to help grow our practice as we add a third location in 2026. This position will support our team by providing a warm welcome to families onsite and coordinating patient registration. What You Will Do: This role serves as the first point of contact for patients. Key responsibilities include: Welcoming patients Updating demographic and insurance information Assisting with Medicaid and benefit applications Coordinating patient appointments and follow-up care Supporting patient portal enrollment Collecting payments Ensuring accurate documentation and daily reconciliation of patient encounters. What You Will Bring: At a minimum: High school diploma Two years of experience in a clinical or customer service position Fluent in English and Spanish Excellent customer service and communications skills The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, comfortable using Microsoft office and electronic health record systems, and committed to helping patients access the care and resources they need. Compensation and Benefits The rate for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
