Description:
The staff nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
This ensures that the physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative, and learning needs of patients and their families are addressed.
This function is performed in collaboration with nursing peers and co-workers, attending physicians, and allied support services.
The position is responsible for managing care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary staff.
Nursing staff are expected to know how to respond to traumas, strokes, and medical emergencies.
The unit cares for patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The team provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy, among others.
Candidates are required to have experience in various emergency conditions including abdominal pain, respiratory infections, seizures, and trauma cases.
