Servicing Specialist
First Community Mortgage
Job description PURPOSE
This position can be remote or local in Murfreesboro, TN. The Servicing Specialist is responsible for supporting residential mortgage loan servicing operations, including loan boarding, servicing transfers, escrow administration, loan maintenance, customer support, and regulatory compliance activities. This position ensures accurate servicing records, timely issue resolution, and delivery of high-quality service to internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Perform residential mortgage loan boarding and servicing transfer activities for agency, government, and portfolio loans.
o Maintain accurate servicing records and loan documentation within the servicing system.
o Process loan maintenance requests, payment research, and account updates.
o Conduct escrow analysis and manage tax and insurance disbursements.
o Review and reconcile MERS registrations and transfers.
o Process mortgage insurance functions and government loan transfer activities.
o Research and resolve borrower inquiries and servicing discrepancies.
o Support collection and payment resolution efforts for delinquent accounts.
o Ensure compliance with investor, agency, company, state, and federal servicing guidelines.
o Scan, upload, and maintain electronic loan documentation.
o Communicate professionally with borrowers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
o Participate in department projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
o Maintain adherence to applicable federal and state mortgage servicing regulations, investor guidelines, company policies, and quality control standards, including CFPB and RESPA requirements where applicable. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
o High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
o Minimum 2-3 years of residential mortgage servicing experience required.
o Experience with loan boarding, escrow, servicing transfers, and payment processing preferred.
o Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and MERS servicing requirements preferred. TECHNICAL SKILLS
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
o Experience using mortgage servicing systems and imaging platforms preferred.
o Ability to accurately calculate payments, escrow adjustments, interest, and related servicing transactions.
o Strong data entry and computer navigation skills.
