Your Role in the Community

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Identifying and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families on health prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives
• Working with interdisciplinary teams to offer seamless and comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting interactions within electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or suitable equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to procure within 90 days)
