- Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
- Identifying and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and families on health prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives
- Working with interdisciplinary teams to offer seamless and comprehensive care
- Accurately documenting interactions within electronic medical record systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or suitable equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to procure within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment paired with an empathetic approach to patient care
- Superb communication abilities with patients, families, and medical staff
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and ease with telehealth technologies
