Test Engineer

Job Summary Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Global Security Future Architectures (GSFA) Ground Team for upcoming work on the Hornet program. The role will be part of the integration & test engineering team to support informal and formal test initiatives, including internal and external testing, formal execution, and acceptance testing of newly developed capabilities. The position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026. Responsibilities The Systems Engineer will: Perform integration and test activities in a medium to large scale system. Plan, execute, and document test activities for operational systems. Develop software, integrate components, and script test automation. Operate and troubleshoot operating system environments. Work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders. Basic Qualifications Prior work experience with software, information management, or communication systems for Space or Ground segments. Prior experience performing integration and test activities in a medium to large scale system. USC required. Desired Skills Experience with ground segment development. Experience as a software‑focused systems or test engineer. Experience executing operational scenarios on a large‑scale system. Experience with enterprise/system of systems integration. Ability to troubleshoot and navigate operating system environments. Experience with scripting tools. Proficiency with Agile development tools, techniques and associated business rhythms. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and work collaboratively across multiple teams. Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills. Prior experience working in a classified environment. Active TS/SCI Security Clearance. Clearance Level: TS/SCI Other Information and Eligibility Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Onsite full‑time: This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off. Salary and Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 – $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. The salary information is a general guideline only.
