About the Role : Looking for a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller to lead and manage the accounting department. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits, construction draws, and general ledger. Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Prepare monthly financial statements, job costing, financial statements, and management reports. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Qualifications : Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction/home building industry. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong cross-functional collaboration skills. A positive, can-do attitude and a team-oriented approach to leadership. Required Skills : Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Skills : 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction/home building industry.
