EMR Technician III

The EMR Technician III role applies to varied job functions within the facility, all requiring similar skill levels, responsibilities, and expectations. This position is responsible for tearing down and replacing parts in systems, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing, and determining the most cost-effective repair solutions for hardware and software issues across Tablets, Notebooks, Desktops, and Servers.

Primary responsibilities include running production in the Burn area as needed, communicating with operators from other shifts, complying with OSHA and MSDS standards, diagnosing systems and routing to EMR for repair as needed, loading and unloading products efficiently and safely, moving and storing products using proper equipment, operating material handling equipment safely, cross-training teammates in all currently assigned roles, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free, operating within SOPs and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), participating in physical inventories, performing labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed, providing on-the-job training to new teammates, training Burn techs on failure types and routing procedures, maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area, disposing of inventory between recovery grades, conducting cosmetic inspections, cleaning, and label placement per guidelines, documenting repair actions in appropriate systems and logs, determining cost-effective repair paths and updating system disposition, performing minor part removal or replacement as needed, operating automated etching machines to apply custom logos, performing cosmetic repairs on Notebooks, Desktops, and LFF systems, using Dell Password Reset utility to unlock BIOS password-protected units, evaluating and determining actions for systems failed in Burn, tearing down and replacing parts in systems as directed, reviewing etching graphics for defects and notifying support teams, plugging units into correct cabling and running appropriate software keys, physically installing servers into designated cabinets as needed, connecting units to network and power for Power On Test monitoring, and escalating unresolved issues to technical associates.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 0--2 years of relevant experience. Strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. A+ certification preferred. Technical ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems. Familiarity with material handling and RF equipment is beneficial.
