You run regional freight to stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio. This is an active job. You hand-unload trailers using rollers, so it suits CDL-A drivers who like staying on their feet as much as being behind the wheel. Each week ends with a 34-hour reset at home. A Typical Week as a Truck Driver: On average, 3 loads per week Three stops per load An estimated 1,100 miles weekly Hand-unload freight at stores using rollers Backhauls to the DC are typically no-touch live loads Mileage pay Stop pay Home Time: Home weekly with a 34-hour reset Days off are either Friday night to Saturday or Saturday night to Sunday Truck Driver Equipment: Top-of-the-line sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions 53' dry trailers Take your truck home to park as long as the spot is safe and secure Live near Cowpens?
