Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Staff RN is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a Medical Surgical setting. They evaluate patient needs, develop care plans, and deliver high-quality nursing interventions to promote recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions through thorough evaluation and monitoring.
  
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
  
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders.
  
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
  
• Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and patient responses accurately and legibly.
  
• Supervise and coordinate the work of Nurse Assistants and other staff to ensure quality patient care.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid Ohio RN license; licensure required to practice.
  
• Complete an accredited nursing program, including diploma, ADN, or BSN.
  
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  
• Prefer previous experience in a Medical Surgical nursing environment.
  
• Possess current CPR certification; ability to handle multiple priorities.
