Burg Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join our team. Our practice is committed to providing exceptional pediatric dental and orthodontic care in a welcoming, family-focused environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, and passionate about creating a positive experience for children, teens, and their families from their first interaction with our practice through their ongoing care.

As a Patient Coordinator, you will serve as an important point of contact for patients and families while supporting the front office and clinical teams. You will help ensure appointments are scheduled efficiently, patient information is accurate, and families receive clear and compassionate communication throughout their care experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet patients and families and provide a warm, welcoming experience
• Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and communicate professionally with patients and families
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
• Manage appointment reminders and help maintain an efficient and productive schedule
• Check patients in and out and collect required paperwork and documentation
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Review treatment costs, financial expectations, and payment options with patients and families
• Collect patient payments, co-payments, and other applicable balances
• Coordinate with the clinical team to support smooth patient flow and appointment preparation
• Assist with treatment plan scheduling, follow-up appointments, referrals, and other patient care coordination needs
• Address patient and family questions or concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate team member when needed
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and practice improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred
• Previous patient coordination, scheduling, or customer service experience
• Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with children, teens, and families is preferred
