Experienced Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator - Inside Sales Engineer - New Orleans

Sign On Bonus Job located in Shreveport, LA Wage: Job Description: This position involves equipment estimating, requiring strong math and computer skills. Attention to detail is essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interface with co-workers, customers/clients, and factory representatives. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are required. The candidate must have the technical knowledge necessary for the role; training will be provided related to the product lines represented. This position supports the company's sales efforts. Primary Responsibilities: Review product specifications and selections to identify issues for consulting engineers by the sales engineer. Develop an optimized bill of materials for projects and coordinate pricing with factory personnel. Prepare proposals for customer bid lists, detailing project scope, benefits, and customer requirements. Complete bid files with selections, pricing, project summaries, and proposals for sales review. Provide backup support to customers regarding quotes and inquiries. Job Development: Learn the product lines to optimize quotes. Gain knowledge of company and competitor products to improve project proposals and positioning. Learn manufacturer systems for product selection, pricing, and ordering. Full-time position. Work in the office; work from home only during weather or illness. Paid bi-weekly with overtime as needed. Eligible for a performance-based incentive plan after one year. Vacation increases from 1 to 3 weeks with tenure. Additional PTO of 4 hours/month after 90 days. Half health insurance paid (employee or family).
