RN - Operating RoomHourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.Position Highlights:Location: Chicago, ILFull TimeHours: M-F; Days (3pm - 11:30 pm) including call requirementsWhat You Will Do:Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.Enhances own professional growth and development.Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.Assists in positioning and responds to safety of patient.Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens.Observes, checks and enforces strict standards of asepsis.Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm that items are functioning properly.Document intra operatively in Epic.Conducts appropriate surgical counts.Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to the surgeon.What You Will Need:Two or more years of nursing experience is preferred.Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.Current Illinois Nursing licensureAmerican Heart Association CPR CertificationACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirementsBenefits:Premium pay such as shift, on call, holiday and more based on an employee's job (For eligible positions)Incentive pay for select positionsOpportunity for annual increases based on performanceCareer Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and DevelopmentVarious Medical, Dental, Pet and Vision optionsTuition ReimbursementDiscounted ParkingWellness Program Savings PlanHealth Savings Account OptionsRetirement Options with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayCommunity Involvement OpportunitiesEndeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
