Hourly Wage Estimate: $41.00 - $61.57 / hour Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care of Med/Surg Cardiac patients. Your responsibilities will include developing patient care plans, administering medications, managing IV therapy, coordinating patient placement, ensuring a safe environment, and providing patient education. Responsibilities Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice and the nursing process. Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications. Initiate, regulate, and otherwise manage IV therapy for assigned patients. Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patient. Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Provide patient education and keep patients informed of their treatment plan. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada. AACN National Certification preferred. Attendance at a Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director. Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association. Completion of a Management of Aggressive Behavior (MAB)/De-escalation Techniques course. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Minimum one year RN acute care hospital experience in Med/Surg required.
