Direct Support Professional ES-LA (60632)

Job Details Position: Direct Support Professional - Syracuse Area (Job #ES-LA) Location: Syracuse, near West Hill High School Hours: Up to 10 hours a week after school, 3pm to 7:30pm, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Backup for Monday and Tuesday preferred. Continuation during summer while the client attends Summer School. Pay: $22 per hour, includes mileage and staff activity reimbursements. Responsibilities Provide respite care for a teen with a moderate intellectual disability, in both the home and in the community. Attend outings to places such as Onondaga Park, restaurants, the YMCA, and swimming. Facilitate recreational activities like playing with slime, cutting paper, and watching videos on an iPad or TV. Assist with bathroom needs and support the family in exploring new experiences. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. Effective communication and organizational skills. Flexibility with assignments and schedule. Reliable transportation to arrive at job site on time. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Technology proficiency and ability to download multiple apps for community use; compliance with ARISE/EFR’s technology policy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
