Respiratory Therapist NICU PEDS RRT

Job Summary It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with additional competency in NICU and pediatric patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments and ensuring all care is in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. The role may include working with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC. One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required. CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire. Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required. PALS required within 30 days of hire. NRP required within 90 days of hire. ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based).
