Relief Pharmacist

JOB DESCRIPTION The **Relief** **Pharmacist** position coordinates the drug distribution and clinical pharmacy activities for support departments. The role is responsible for safe and efficient methods for coordination of established pharmacy policy concerning drug patient care (pet) and provides clinical drug information to meet the needs of the patient (pet), the veterinarian and all other appropriate support personnel. They will also support the company mission, vision, and values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains up to date knowledge of the profession by participating in organization memberships; by attending meetings, lectures, in service and seminars; by reading journals; and by complying with National Standards of Continuing Education to maintain professional competency and proficiency SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must have 6 – 12 months of experience Experience with veterinary products preferred COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES) Reading Comprehension – Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Ability to comprehend basic principles, theories and laws, policies and procedures that pertain to pharmacy Technical- proficient on keyboard and operating a computer terminal.
