Middle School Girls Basketball Coach

Rate of Pay: 5% of Step BA1 for 26/27

Reports To: Athletic Director

Qualifications:

• College graduate and significant experience working with youth preferred.
• Prior successful experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate students towards team goals.
• Ability to work within the confines of the budget.
• Ability to successfully communicate with parents and community members.
• Ability to distribute and collect all school uniforms, equipment and other school property in an organized manner.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Michigan High School Athletic Association as to competitions, eligibility, training and participation.
• Proven ability to work with all other coaches and willingness to meet program expectations.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the Middle School Girls Basketball program.
• Responsible for the conduct of student-athletes at practice and games.
• Displays tact, courtesy, and good sportsmanship with students, parents, and community.
• Inspire a passion for the game at all levels.
• Assists the athletic director in scheduling, budget, uniform inventory, and volunteer workers at events.
• Assist varsity coaches in program development and vision implementation.
• Model behaviors that reflect the values of good sportsmanship, fair competition and ethical behavior.
• Punctual, reliable and predictable attendance is required.
• All other duties as required to successfully lead kids in this position.
