Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Sylvania, Ohio. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care by implementing and supervising nursing care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety. This role encompasses leadership in patient assessments, care coordination, and discharge planning within a specialized acute care environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to the first shift. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only). Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience preferred, with ICU and critical care experience highly desired. Experience in progressive care or similar settings is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or specialized training in acute or critical care settings are advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, and coordinate discharge planning starting on day one of admission. Supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, participation in team activities, and effective communication for continuity of patient care are essential to this role. The position involves providing calm, reassuring leadership to staff and patients, maintaining safety protocols, and seeking ongoing professional development.
