Admissions Counselor

Job Description Summary Markets the University and is a territory manager that recruits prospective students. This position requires significant travel. Responsibilities Maintains travel calendar for individual recruitment territory. Travels to in-state and out-of-state high schools and/or community colleges to provide information about the University to prospective students. Represents the University at job and high schools fairs. Presents presentations to prospective students, families, counselors and/or groups about the University and the admissions process. Assists prospective students in the admissions process. Makes telephone calls to prospective students regarding the University, admissions process and special events. Assists in the coordination of special events. Attends prospective student parties, counselor luncheons and alumni chapter meetings as needed. Maintains updated records regarding prospective students and applicants for weekly reporting. Gives campus tours to prospective students, families, and/or groups. Responsible for continual correspondence with prospective students regarding the University and admissions process. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license required.
