Python Application Developer with SQL

Location: Newark, NJ Duration: 6 Months Employment Type: W2 only Salary Range: $52.00 – $55.30/hr

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Python Application Developer with strong SQL expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable database-driven applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development, database optimization, automation, and API development experience.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience
Strong expertise in: Python, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, T-SQL
Experience with Python frameworks: FastAPI, Django, Flask
Strong experience in: Backend API development, Database schema design, Query optimization, Stored procedures, Views
Experience with: Pandas, NumPy, Automation scripting, Data migration
Knowledge of: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Unit Testing
Experience with: Docker, Kubernetes, Containerization
Exposure to: GenAI, LLM integrations
Strong understanding of: Data integrity, Security, Backup and recovery

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs
Design relational database schemas and data models
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
Develop automation scripts for database and operational tasks
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance standards
Support CI/CD and deployment processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application enhancements
Integrate modern AI/LLM capabilities into application workflows
