Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a young elementary student with complex medical needs as a Registered Nurse. This role is based near Portsmouth, NH, and offers the chance to make a significant difference in the meaningful setting of a school community. As a dedicated 1:1 nurse, you will provide compassionate care and essential medical oversight throughout the school day, including bus transportation to and from the student’s Dover-area school.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Experience with pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Strong skills in managing complex medical needs, including seizure response, tube feedings, personal care, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable traveling with the student on the school bus, ensuring safety and care during transportation
• Reliable, flexible, and communicative, with the ability to adapt to a gradually increasing schedule
• LPN credentials are not accepted for this position

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care and health monitoring for an elementary student with significant medical requirements
• Assist with all aspects of personal and medical care throughout the student’s school day and during transport
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, medical professionals, and family to support the student’s well-being
• Adjust to an evolving work schedule, starting with part-time afternoon hours (12:00pm-3:05pm plus transportation), increasing to a full school day as the student’s attendance expands
