Mechanical Engineer (5-10 years)

Job Overview Coffman Engineers is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join the Industrial Energy group in our Denver office. The candidate will be a self‑motivated, energetic team player with five to ten years of experience in project management, design, and engineering across energy markets such as hydrogen, oil and gas, microgrids, energy storage, biofuels, CCUS, and alternative energy. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review project drawings including piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, FEED reports, calculations, and bills of materials.
• Perform facility engineering, fluid hydraulics, and piping stress analysis calculations.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary project tasks; preferred experience in multi‑disciplinary project management.
• Develop proposals, execution plans, technical engineering reports, and client communications.
• Travel periodically as required.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineer license (PE). 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience. Familiarity with ASME and API codes/standards applicable to refining, pipelines, and industrial facilities. Proven competency in project drawings and engineering calculations. Experience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., AFT products) and pipe stress modeling software (e.g., AutoPIPE) preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Travel willingness. Microsoft Office proficiency preferred. Salary The expected annual salary range is $95,000 – $125,000. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
