Commercial Construction Project Manager – Lead High-Impact Commercial Builds

Job Overview

• Salary/Pay Rate: $130,000 - $145,000 per year (Based on Experience) plus Performance Based Bonus.
• Location: Hauppauge, NY (Travel Required).
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Project Scope: Commercial / Ground-Up & Interior.
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will drive commercial construction projects from initial preconstruction through final client turnover, serving as the central leader for project success. This role gives you complete ownership over financial performance, schedule execution, and client relationships across high-stakes healthcare, industrial, retail, hospitality, corporate interiors, and occupied environments. You will join an expanding team that values leadership, operational excellence, and long-term client trust.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Direct all construction phases from early preconstruction planning through project closeout and final turnover.
• Develop and track comprehensive project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, and financial risk mitigations.
• Procure subcontractors by leading bid buyout, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance oversight.
• Partner with site superintendents to align field execution with office management and project milestones.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and monthly pay applications.
• Serve as the primary executive contact for project owners, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
• Demonstrated track record managing ground-up builds and interior commercial projects.
• Strong expertise in project scheduling, financial forecasting, trade coordination, and contract management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades across complex commercial project portfolios.
• Advanced capability to read, interpret, and manage contract drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience managing construction projects within healthcare, industrial, retail, hospitality, corporate interiors, and occupied environments.
• Proficiency in Procore project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of scheduling platforms such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• OSHA 30-Hour safety certification.
