Soft Count Clerk

The Soft Count Clerk is responsible for performing the daily cash count and accurately recording the content of casino drop boxes while adhering to department policies and procedures. Additional duties include sorting and counting the chips and currency in the drop boxes, verifying strapping amounts of currency, clearly and accurately posts and consolidates the games summary sheet and reconciles posted and counted amounts. Promotes the casinos goals of providing superior guest service. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.

Starting wage is $21.59/hr increasing to $22.17/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

Experience & Requirements:

• Cash handling experience is required
• Ten-key experience (preferred)
• Must possess good math skills and pass the required Math test.
• Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
• Must have good manual and finger dexterity
• Must be able to bend, reach and squat
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays

All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
