We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse - Inpatient Wound/Ostomy for a 13-week day shift assignment in State College, PA. This role functions as a consultant to staff and patients for skin prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and continence-related needs in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound, ostomy, and continence nursing consultation.
- Assess and support patients with skin, wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Support skin prevention and wound care best practices.
- Educate staff and patients on wound and ostomy care plans.
- Communicate professionally with all members of the care team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC.
- Function as a resource and liaison between patients and staff.
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required.
- Board certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing required.
- BLS required.
- Completion of a registered nurse degree program required.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients required.
- Inpatient wound care and ostomy experience required.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Strong communication, professionalism, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills required.
