Description: The purpose of this position is to provide respiratory care to patients. The unit has a total of 205 beds with 35 staff members. The day shift includes one charge therapist and five therapists to cover various departments. Patient ratios for the night shift are not applicable. The primary equipment used includes Ventilators PB 980 and 840, Bipap V-60, and Siemens ABG instruments. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Permanent positions may be available on the unit. Typical procedures performed include ventilator and Bipap management, aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy. The ideal candidate will be a team player. The dress code requires sage tops and black pants. The unit has an annual turnover rate of 0% due to teamwork and staff satisfaction.
