Senior Program Manager, Large-Scale IT Transformation

Role Description This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a large or complex program or a significant workstream of a large-scale customer program within Wipro, from deal closure to steady-state. It may require leading large-scale software implementation across Managed Services, Vendor Consolidation, Digital Transformation, Business Transformation, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Transformation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Transformation, IT Infrastructure / Upgrade, Cybersecurity Implementation / Enhancement, and/or Quality and Testing Programs. The program holder will manage programs of multiple Service Lines engaging with multiple vendors, customers / stakeholders and/or suppliers across multiple geographies, of 10–20 million USD TCV deals and be FPP, FCP, T & M and/or integrated in nature. The role holder is the point of contact for this specific program / workstream and is expected to drive strategic planning, interface closely with cross-functional teams to ensure execution and successful delivery. Success will be measured in terms of business outcomes aligned with objectives and the benefits enabled for Wipro and customers. The role holder is expected to hold and leverage deep expertise in specific technologies and possess awareness of latest trends. Success is measured in terms of business outcomes driven, strategic direction provided, and resulting benefits enabled for Wipro and customers. They will also have a deep understanding of Waterfall and Agile processes, be certified in Agile/PMI, and manage FPP, FCP, T&M or Staff Augmentation programs. Essential Responsibilities Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives in adherence with organizational objectives. Lead program management involving the implementation, customization, and integration of applications. Ensure governance tied to scope, schedule, change management, resource allocation, and risk management. Collaborate with project sponsor, cross‑functional teams, internal GBL/Service line teams, and project managers to define scope, deliverables, estimate resources, work plan, budget, schedule, and drive progress. Monitor program financials, including budget tracking, cost management, and resource allocation to achieve profitability targets. Deliver program outputs/outcomes and adapt strategies to optimize. Take a holistic view of risk management across multiple topics and manage and mitigate risks within program scope. Address strategic and enterprise‑wide risks to ensure business continuity and influence risk strategy. Create a psychologically safe environment for raising issues and seeking support. Communicate program updates and business reporting to stakeholders and senior management. Establish and maintain quality standards, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations through reviews and quality gates. Assess and manage relationships with third‑party vendors to ensure successful delivery. Manage changes or ambiguities that may arise in the critical path and drive change management activities. Mobilize operational support and assign actions across engaged entities and roles. Interact with other SPOCs to manage integration and dependencies. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to make informed recommendations. Possess strong technical and delivery management skills. Lead and mentor a team for professional growth, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Demonstrate outcome ownership and present a confident point of view to influence decisions. Influence program strategy and roadmap through customer feedback. Qualifications 12+ years of progressive experience in technology project and program management, with at least 5 years managing large customer programs. Excellent understanding of technologies and industry vertical domain areas. Demonstrated expertise in specified technology areas and awareness of latest industry trends. Proven track record of managing complex, large‑scale IT application/Infrastructure projects. Experience leading complex system integrations, data migrations, and application customizations; proficient in risk management and financial analysis. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid) and solid understanding of the IT landscape. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, interacting effectively with senior executives, clients and cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment. Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile and/or SAFe, with necessary certifications (Agile/PRINCE 2/PMI) and also certified in PgMP or PMP. Experience: >10 years. Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: $125,000 – $210,000 (base salary).
