We are a 65-bed skilled nursing facility located in the heart of East Palestine, Ohio, dedicated to excellence in long-term and short-term care. The Maintenance Director is a key leadership position responsible for facility operations, safety, and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Director

• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and life safety regulations

• Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and emergency systems

• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and regulatory risks

• Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, work orders, and compliance logs

• Collaborate with administration and department leaders to support survey readiness

• Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills

• Maintain a clean, safe, and resident-friendly environment at all times

Requirements for Maintenance Director

• Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or plant operations (healthcare or long-term care preferred)

• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and regulatory standards

• Ability to manage preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairs

• Experience supervising vendors and managing maintenance budgets

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and staff

• Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

• Passion for creating a safe, comfortable environment for seniors
