Job Details Location: Main Office – Sacramento, CA 95826 / On Site Only – Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA Salary: $60,000 – $72,000 annually Classification: Full‑Time, Exempt Schedule: Monday – Friday (may include nights/weekends), 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; schedule flexibility a must Benefits / Perks Choice of 8 medical plans Choice of 3 dental plans Vision, Life, Accident and Injury Insurance Employee Assistance Program 403(b) 100% match for 1%–6% of pay Paid Time Off: 11 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 7 sick days, up to 18 vacation days per calendar year About the Position The Family Support Specialist will provide essential mental health services to homeless women and children in need of reunification and additional family stabilization services. The position requires a client‑driven approach, focusing on the evidence‑based Family Centered Treatment (FCT) model to support families in need of reunification and strengthening familial bonds. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of homeless women and children, supporting them in their journey towards family reunification and improved mental health. Responsibilities Implement evidence‑based mental health interventions for homeless women and children in need of reunification and familial supports, delivered at transitional home, with extended family and community Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address trauma, mental health issues, and family dynamics Collaborate with other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each family's needs Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify mental health concerns and support reunification and family goals Engage with community resources and stakeholders to enhance support networks for families in the program Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field 2 years of experience working in child welfare or family services settings Fluent in English (spoken and written) Proficient knowledge of email, copiers, fax, and internet Proficiency in Microsoft Suite An exceptional passion for our mission Physical Requirements Standing/walking approximately 20% and sitting 80% of the time Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Ability to hear and respond to simple and sometimes critical messages exchanged in noisy/high traffic areas Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Preferred Qualifications Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) Trauma‑informed training Ability to work well individually and in a team environment Adaptable and highly skilled at problem solving Good interpersonal skills Punctual and good attendance Effective communication skills, both oral and written Attention to detail Maintain confidentiality Success Traits Strong communicator, organized and diligent, people‑oriented, problem solver and strategic thinker, team player, committed to promoting dignity, diversity, and equality, detail oriented, self‑starter.
