Are you an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex automated systems and driving equipment reliability? As a Automated Warehouse Technician III, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the performance of our automated warehouse systems while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia.

Compensation & Schedule

Starting Pay: $36.85/hr. Schedule: Train on day shift; upon completion, transition to a 2-2-3 day or night shift schedule. Shift Differential: 10% for Night Shift ($40.53/hr.)

What You'll Do

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment issues.

Modify machine settings, controls, and operating parameters to optimize system performance.

Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.

Maintain strong collaboration with warehouse operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

Support relationships with external suppliers and vendors to resolve critical equipment issues.

Monitor equipment performance and report downtime events, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Perform vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance activities.

Support maintenance improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and engineering initiatives.

Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance procedures, including LOTO requirements.

Participate in LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI), 5S, and Kaizen activities.

Attend daily shift meetings and contribute to maintenance KPI tracking and reporting.

The Logistics team supports the reliable operation of our highly automated warehouse systems, ensuring materials flow efficiently throughout the manufacturing process. As an Automated Warehouse Technician, you'll be a key technical resource responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, supporting operational performance, and helping maintain the highest standards of safety and quality. Learn the operation of advanced automated warehouse technology while helping ensure materials are available to support production and ultimately inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.

Basic Qualifications

Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field; or 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing automated industrial equipment.

Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and identifying root causes.

Ability to work safely at heights ranging from approximately 8 to 40 meters.

Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe maintenance practices.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Fluent English communication skills.

Ability to distinguish colors for equipment, wiring, and maintenance-related tasks.

Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required for training and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience with automated warehouse systems and material handling equipment.

PLC troubleshooting experience, preferably Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms.

Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and maintenance management systems.

Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis and thermography.

Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5S.
