Job Description
Title:
Cardiac PCU Nurse

Schedule:
- Nights
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: Not specified
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in cardiovascular/PCU step-down
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; CPI preferred
- Experience with Epic charting
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Post-cardiac cath and post-cardiac surgery care
- Management of cardiac drips and protocols (heparin/IV insulin)
- Central line/PICC care, peripheral IVs, blood products
- High-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway support
- Chest tube management, feeding tube care, wound care
- Phlebotomy, PCA, sheath removal, procedural sedation monitoring

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours onsite
- Pending NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
- Locals not accepted (50-mile radius policy noted)
