About the Position

Job Title: Computed Tomography Tech Profession: Computed Tomography Tech Specialty: Computed Tomography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice required. Certifications: - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required. - Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment required if operating fluoroscopy equipment. - Venipuncture certification required if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials. Must-Have: - Advanced Certification in the modality of CT preferred in California. Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology system for image transfer. Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information. Ensures the integrity of medical images and data while adhering to patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
