The role involves working primarily in the operating room, participating in various surgical cases. There is a need for flexibility to cover night shifts as needed within the contract. RNs will be required to take on call assignments, which will be distributed equally among staff every six weeks. The workload may include up to 6-8 shifts spread across nights, evenings, and weekends. Floating between similar units may also be expected, and refusal to float could lead to assignment termination. It is essential to have experience with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to laparoscopic procedures, spinal surgeries, and trauma surgeries. The work environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various services, including respiratory, radiology, and pharmacy. All candidates must adhere to requested off-time during the application process, as scheduling flexibility is critical for contract compliance. Two references covering the last year of employment are required. Travelers may need to cover holidays based on staffing needs. This position will provide opportunities to work in a fast-paced setting with diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
