Tax Advisor – High Net Worth / Family Office Tax

$80K+ Base + Bonus, Depending on Experience

Overview :

We are partnering with a growing Phoenix-based family office and wealth management firm seeking Tax Advisors to join its expanding tax team. This is an opportunity for tax professionals coming from public accounting who want to move beyond a traditional compliance-focused environment and gain broader exposure to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, complex tax planning, and integrated wealth management.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Tax Advisor, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary client service team delivering integrated tax and financial planning solutions to HNW and UHNW families.

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and trusts

• Support tax planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families

• Work alongside senior tax professionals to identify tax planning opportunities and strategies

• Assist with tax projections, financial modeling, and scenario analysis

• Research complex federal and state tax matters and document conclusions

• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, documentation, deadlines, and planning opportunities

• Coordinate with outside CPAs, attorneys, investment professionals, and other client advisors

• Support integrated planning across tax, investments, estate planning, and other areas of a client’s financial life

• Develop tax reports and clearly communicate research and recommendations

• Build trusted relationships with clients while continuing to develop technical and advisory skills

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• Approximately 2–5 years of tax experience, preferably within public accounting

• Experience preparing individual and pass-through entity returns

• Exposure to high-net-worth or complex individual clients

• Strong understanding of individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and trust taxation

• CPA designation or actively working toward becoming a CPA

• Comfortable interacting directly with clients and professional advisors

Preferred Experience

• Active CPA designation

• Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting

• Experience working with HNW/UHNW individuals and families

• Family office, private wealth, or sophisticated tax advisory experience

• Experience with trusts, estates, partnerships, and complex individual returns

• Familiarity with CCH Engagement and tax preparation software

• Experience with proactive tax planning rather than strictly tax compliance
