We like to make work enjoyable and engaging.We light the world's most beautiful spaces.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Examine specifications of order using blueprints, drawings, and/or work orders, to determine characteristics of finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.Set up and operate fiber laser to cut assigned parts.Load programs and raw materials onto machine and adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately.Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine.Examine work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to follow written or oral instructions.Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment needed to do a job.Ability to recognize and troubleshoot basic technical problems.Interpersonal communication skills.Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Excel in a fast-paced work environment.Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDTwo or more years of actual punch press operations.Knowledge of tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Knowledge of machines such as press brake is a plus.Basic repair and maintenance knowledge.Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the fabrication of sheet metal products.At least eighteen years of age.Physical Requirements:Manual dexterity and standing for extended periods of time.Adhere to all PPE requirements.Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common machine shop auditory stimuli.Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds of lifting/force constantly to move objects.Working Environment:Smoke free workplace.Lucifer Lighting Company is an equal opportunity employer.
