Description General Summary: A Host is responsible for directing the flow of guests in the restaurant, handling all payment transactions, and ensuring the security of the cash drawer. The position reports to the General Manager and requires minimal supervision. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Greeting and seating guests, knowing how to read and use the seating chart and wait list. Knowledge of Rib Crib products, preparation methods, portion sizes, and prices; ability to discuss with customers in person or over the phone. Answering phone calls, determining their nature, and directing calls appropriately; taking call-in orders and answering catering questions. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the cashier stand and restrooms. Performing stocking services for the to-go station and packaging to-go orders. Recording and analyzing cash flow, including opening, running, and closing duties. Willingness to assume any responsibility or task (“shift to assist”) to support teamwork. Performing other duties as assigned.
