District Partners has been engaged by a well-established trade association to identify an Information Security Analyst who can help strengthen security operations and support a Microsoft Azure-based technology environment. The ideal candidate built their foundation in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or IT operations before expanding into cybersecurity. Technology and security play a strategic role within the organization, and leadership continues to invest in cybersecurity, operational resilience, and risk management. This role offers broad exposure across Azure security, identity management, vulnerability management, incident response, and infrastructure-related security initiatives.

Success in this role is not measured solely by responding to alerts. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and comfortable identifying opportunities to improve security posture, reduce risk, and strengthen overall operational maturity.

Monitoring and responding to security events and incidents

Supporting vulnerability management and remediation efforts

Assisting with identity and access management initiatives

Supporting Azure security, cloud security, and identity-related controls

Partnering with infrastructure teams to improve security posture across the environment

Participating in risk assessments, audits, and security initiatives

Identifying opportunities to improve security controls, processes, and operational readiness

This role is best suited for someone who understands security through the lens of real-world IT operations. The environment is heavily Microsoft-focused, with Azure serving as the organization's primary cloud platform. Candidates who have experience supporting Azure environments and enjoy working across security, infrastructure, and cloud technologies will be most successful.

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Hands-on experience supporting security initiatives within Microsoft Azure environments
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and related Microsoft security technologies
• Strong understanding of security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud security
• Understanding of networking, identity management, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Security+, CISSP, SC-200, AZ-500, or similar certifications
• Experience supporting Microsoft security technologies within Azure environments
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and remediation programs
• Experience working within a small-to-medium sized organization where security professionals maintain broad ownership

• Compensation: $105,000 - $116,000 depending on experience
• Full-time direct hire opportunity
• Onsite five days per week during the first 90 days
• Eligible for a 3 days onsite / 2 days remote schedule following successful completion of the onboarding period
