Job DescriptionDescription:The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Powertrain Testing - Lab Operations function.Reporting to the Manager of Operations – Central Lab Ops, the person in this role will support the Powertrain Testing department's objective to ensure testing readiness.JOB DETAILS:Test Execution: engine, powertrain, or vehicle chassis dynamometers and emission analyzers.Compliance Validation: Verify test results against Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and certification procedures (such as FTP, HWFE, and US06).Data Analysis: Analyze emission outputs, particulate matter (PM), and fuel economy data to optimize engine performance.Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment or vehicle anomalies in controlled test cells and environmental chambersSupport on site teams to ensure facilities are supporting current and new R&D activities.Battery Development & Testing at new Battery Lab FacilityPrototype DevelopmentPowertrain TestingFull VehicleComponent LevelPurchasingIT & SecurityProvide Engineering Support for Powertrain Testing OperationsOversee and resolve problems associated with R&D testing equipment.Support daily operations and problem solve those issues and develop countermeasuresREQUIREMENTS:Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of propulsion systems, CFR Emission Testing RequirementsSoftware/Tools: Proficiency with data acquisition tools (Panel 4, ETAS or Hioki) and modeling platformsGOOD TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:Professional Engineering License (PE)Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical printsLocation: (Ann Arbor,MI) Disclaimer: Kyyba is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
