Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with some flexibility required for 11a-11p shifts as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients of varying ages in a fast-paced environment. This role requires floating among five hospital locations based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care standards with a patient ratio of 1:5.
• Provide nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer emergency medications and manage critical care situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Perform required assessments and document patient care accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in an emergency setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Epic clinical documentation experience is required.
• Ability to pass the Dysrhythmia test within the first 72 hours of signing.
• Active state license as an RN.
