Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Mixed schedule including (2) 12-hour shifts (6:45a–7:15p) and (2) 8-hour shifts (6:45a–3:15p) per week; weekend and holiday shifts required per 6-week schedule rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Operating Room setting, including scrub and circulate roles
• Perform nursing duties within a Level I Trauma environment, including liver and kidney cases
• Float as needed to GI unit or an affiliated outpatient surgery center
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic health record system
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekend shifts and summer and winter holiday call and work obligations

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Level I Trauma setting
• Trauma certification required
• Experience with liver and kidney cases required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub and circulate experience in the Operating Room strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system preferred
