THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to join our dynamic biology team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in drug discovery and preclinical drug development within the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing our pipeline from target validation and assay development to the discovery of novel active ingredients. In this role, you will: Lead research programs focused on new molecule discovery, high-throughput screening, target validation, and assay development. Conceive, plan, and execute studies to support R&D projects in our pipeline. Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, biology, and translational sciences, to advance drug candidates from early discovery to pre-clinical development. Analyze and interpret complex data sets to drive project progression and resolve scientific challenges. Stay current with emerging scientific literature and technologies to identify new opportunities and approaches. Mentor and guide junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a (PhD, MD/PhD, or PharmD) in Cell Biology, Immunology, Metabolism, Dermatology, Lipid Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline with 6+ years of experience in the biotech and/or pharma industry. You have a deep understanding of drug discovery and preclinical drug development. You possess extensive knowledge across multiple fields of biology, including cell biology, immunology, metabolism, dermatology, lipid biology, and microbiology. You have a strong track record in leading scientific projects, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. You have hands-on experience with a variety of molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, ELISA, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, CRISPR, and high-content imaging). You are excited about building and growing a team, creating an environment that supports your team’s personal and professional development. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders. You are adaptable and a team player, willing to go the extra mile and jump in on ad hoc tasks to support the overall company growth.
