CVE Compliance Specialist 1-Atlanta (Headquarters)---Ride Share Maintain registration database Job Vacancy Announcement- CVE Compliance Specialist 1 Location: Atlanta (Headquarters)---Ride Share Salary minimum: $44,998.81 The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have an opening for a Compliance Specialist 1 in the Ride Share Program (Regulatory Compliance Unit) of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. The Regulatory Compliance Section is responsible for the enforcement of provisions regarding the issuance of Certificates and Permits of Operations for the following programs: Non-Consensual Towing, Vehicle Immobilization (Booting), Limousine and Passenger Carriers, Household Good Carriers and Transportation Network Companies & Taxi Services. The Regulatory Compliance Section also handles the enforcement of safety inspection in conjunction with Commercial Vehicle Officers for passenger carrier vehicles as required by the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. In addition, the Regulatory Compliance Section is responsible for the enforcement of the Commercial indemnity and liability insurance for all commercial motor vehicles as provided by each program. Critical Responsibilities Superior communication skills Maintain registration database Apply complex program laws, rules, and regulations Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications And Experience Proficient Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills Excellent writing skills Selected applicant must pass a pre-employment background investigation. This includes a review of criminal, driver’s and credit history. No polygraph examination is required for this position.
