Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00/hour DOE

Annual Compensation: $62,400 - $79,040+

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus

($1,000 at 90 days, $1,000 at 6 months, $1,000 at 12 months)

Are you an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic looking for a company that values your skills, offers steady year-round work, and provides plenty of overtime opportunities? We are seeking a motivated mechanic to maintain and repair a large fleet of construction and asphalt paving equipment throughout the Denver metro area.

This position offers a combination of field service and shop work, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the field diagnosing and repairing equipment at active job sites. You'll be provided with a fully equipped company service truck and the opportunity to work independently while supporting critical construction operations.

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy construction and asphalt paving equipment.
• Identify hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and mechanical failures.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repair work to minimize equipment downtime.
• Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.

• Travel to job sites throughout the service area using a company-provided service truck.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in the field to keep projects running efficiently.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, field service mechanic, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment repair.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues independently.
• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record with no DUI or reckless driving violations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

• Monday through Saturday
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Hours may vary based on construction and asphalt production schedules.
• Overtime available and expected during busy seasons.
• Start each day from the Lipan facility and service equipment within approximately a 50-mile radius, including areas from Longmont to Sedalia.

This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, CO.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
