Registered Nurse (RN)

This role is part of a float pool, requiring staff to work flexibly throughout various departments, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units.
• Maintain patient ratios up to 1:6 in the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Complete necessary documentation in compliance with facility policies.

Schedule Requirements

• This is a float pool position; candidates must have a flexible schedule.
• Work weekends every other week.
• No block schedule requests can be accommodated.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Holidays

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays as outlined below:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

If assigned during a major holiday period, the requirements are as follows:

• One major holiday: expected to work.
• Two major holidays: expected to work both.
• Three major holidays: expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant, the start date may be delayed by two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length.

Shift Details

This position requires working night shifts of 3x12 hours, with hours from 19:00 to 07:00.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
