Job Summary
The Organization is seeking a Surgical Technician with Obstetrical Technician specialization in Templeton, California. This role involves providing patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery, assisting in obstetrics-related surgical procedures, and supporting nursing staff with patient activities before and after surgery. The position contributes to ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment within the healthcare facility.

Job Details

• Position: Surgical Technician / Obstetrical Technician (OR, ORT)
• Location: Templeton, California
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Must have EPIC experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Technical Degree; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification
• Assists in preparation of patient rooms and setup for procedures utilizing aseptic technique; Checks sterile packaging integrity
• Provides surgical support during obstetrics-related surgery; Handles supplies and instruments efficiently
• Participates in operative timeouts and supports nursing staff during deliveries by preparing, positioning, transporting, and discharging patients
• Collects urinalysis specimens and records maternal vital signs, including weight, height, and intake & output measurements
• Performs personal care services and supports activities of daily living for patients
• Assists with patient positioning, transfers, and discharge procedures
• Performs other clinical duties as assigned to support patient care and surgical team operations
