Ready to Lead Operations From the Floor?Port Jersey Logistics Network is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of a high-volume, dedicated customer operation.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows that strong operations aren't built from behind a desk. We're looking for a leader who is visible on the floor, develops strong teams, uses data to make decisions, and knows how to turn operational goals into consistent results.You'll work closely with the Site Manager while taking ownership of daily execution, process improvement, labor efficiency, team development, inventory accuracy, and service performance.If you're the kind of leader who sees a bottleneck and wants to fix the process behind it—not just put a temporary solution in place—we want to meet you.What You'll DoLead the daily execution of warehouse operations across receiving, inventory control, picking, QA, and outbound shippingMaintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor to monitor workflow, identify challenges, and keep operations movingTurn operational goals into clear SOPs, daily labor plans, and shift-level expectationsDrive accountability and consistent execution across departments and shiftsCoach and develop Assistant Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Team LeadsEstablish clear performance expectations and create development plans for your leadership teamMonitor daily throughput, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service levelsPartner with the Site Manager to identify operational risks and provide data and floor-level insight to support decision-makingUse root-cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring operational issuesBalance labor across departments to meet volume demands while managing overtimeTrack operational KPIs such as UPH, dock-to-stock, case throughput, order accuracy, and OTIFIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and facility layoutPartner across departments to create a more efficient, connected, and predictable operationMaintain high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and overall floor conditionsWhat We're Looking For5–8+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume warehousing, distribution, or contract logisticsProven experience leading managers and supervisors, not just individual contributorsStrong understanding of receiving, inventory control, picking, shipping, and warehouse operationsA hands-on, floor-first leadership styleStrong experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), labor management tools, and operational dataAbility to use KPIs and operational trends to identify problems and drive improvementsExperience with labor planning, productivity management, and resource allocationStrong root-cause problem-solving and continuous improvement skillsAbility to coach leaders, set clear expectations, and drive accountabilityStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both senior leadership and front-line teamsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused operationHow You'll Make an ImpactSuccess in this role goes beyond getting today's orders out the door.
